How to Migrate From GiveWP to SureDonation
A simple guide to migrating your donation data from GiveWP to SureDonation.

Steps
STEP 1
Install SureDonation
Keep Charitable active for now. You’ll need access to your donor data during the transition. Both plugins can run on the same site without conflict.
STEP 2
Connect Stripe or PayPal
Authenticate your existing payment account in SureDonation Settings. No new merchant accounts needed. Your existing Stripe or PayPal connection carries right over.
STEP 3
Export Your Donor Data from Charitable
Use Charitable’s built-in CSV export to pull your donor records and giving history. SureDonation accepts CSV imports with full field mapping and a validation preview before you commit.
STEP 4
Import Your Donor Data into SureDonation
Upload the CSV in SureDonation, map your fields, and review the import preview. Donor profiles and giving history come through cleanly.
STEP 5
Rebuild Your Campaign Pages
Add SureDonation’s Gutenberg blocks to each campaign page. Most teams recreate a campaign in a few minutes, directly inside the block editor, no separate admin screen required.
STEP 6
Test With a Real Donation
Before switching off Charitable, run a small live donation to confirm payments, receipts, and donor tracking all work as expected. Once you’re satisfied, deactivate Charitable whenever you’re ready.
What Our Users Say
Nonprofits and agencies share what changed after switching to SureDonation.
We’re a small team, so anything that saves setup time matters. SureDonation had the basics we needed for free, and that was enough to get us started without waiting on a bigger budget.

Founder, local food bank

Things you may want to know
The most common reasons are editor experience and simplicity. SureDonation forms work natively inside the Gutenberg block editor, so there is no separate form builder or admin detour. If you already use Astra, SureForms, or CartFlows, it also fits naturally into that ecosystem.
Recurring donations are part of SureDonation Pro, which is coming soon. If recurring giving is a requirement today, Charitable supports it on its Plus plan.
No. Connect your existing Stripe or PayPal account in SureDonation Settings in a few clicks. No new merchant accounts, no changes to your payment setup.
Yes. SureDonation uses native Gutenberg blocks and works with any block-enabled theme. If you’re already using Astra, it fits especially well within the Brainstorm Force ecosystem.
Yes. Both plugins can be active on the same site at the same time. Run SureDonation in parallel, test everything with a live donation, and deactivate Charitable whenever you’re confident everything is working. There’s no forced cutover.
Not yet, it’s on the roadmap. If that’s a feature you need right now, Charitable’s Pro plan includes it along with crowdfunding and fundraising teams.
