SureDonation v1.5.1 and Pro v1.1.1-beta

Migrate from Charitable, and mix one-time with recurring giving.

Hey everyone 👋

This release makes switching from another donation plugin easier, lets donors choose between one-time and recurring giving in a single form, and cleans up a handful of edge cases along the way.

Let’s get into it.

What’s new

Migrate straight from Charitable: A new migration tool imports your campaigns, donors, and donations, and recurring donations too on Pro, so switching plugins doesn’t mean starting your fundraising history over.

Migrate donor data from plugins

Offer one-time or recurring giving in the same form: (Pro, beta) Donors can now choose between a one-time gift or a recurring one at checkout, with a customizable recurring checkbox label, instead of you building two separate forms.

See reports with or without test data: (Pro, beta) A “Test mode data” toggle in Reports lets you include or exclude test donations from your real figures.

Better than before

  • You’ll know before a donor does if Stripe can’t accept card payments, connection status now shows a clear warning.
  • Donation forms behave correctly on cached sites, including no longer processing against the wrong payment mode after switching between test and live. (Pro, beta)

Fixes

  • Confirmation emails now send only after a payment actually succeeds.
  • Unapproved PayPal donations are correctly recorded as abandoned, not lost.
  • Forms built from a template now save their field and payment settings correctly.
  • Imported donations now show accurate revenue totals, with no duplicate rows.
  • PayPal refund reversals now process correctly. (Pro, beta)
  • Receipt editor changes no longer disappear before you save them. (Pro, beta)
  • WordPress’s personal data eraser now fully removes donor details and avatar images added by SureDonation Pro. (Pro, beta)

We think you’ll like this one. Update when you’re ready.

SureDonation v1.5.0 (Core) & Pro v1.1.0-beta

Hey everyone 👋

This release makes starting a campaign faster for everyone, and gives Pro users (in beta) real control over how their forms look and how their receipts read. Let’s get into it.

What’s new

Start from a template, not a blank page
Pick a ready-made campaign design for medical, education, animal rescue, disaster relief, or faith causes, or start from scratch if you’d rather build it yourself.

A guided tour for your first campaign
First-time setup now walks you through the campaign screen step by step, so nothing important gets missed.

Restyle a single form with Custom CSS
A new Custom CSS tab, with syntax highlighting, lets you restyle one donation form without touching your theme’s stylesheet.

A real Form Theme panel (Pro, beta)
Give the best styling to every field and button on your donation forms with dedicated visual controls, no custom code required.

Branded PDF receipts, your way (Pro, beta)
Choose from three templates, Classic, Stacked, or Minimal, customize them globally or per form, and they’re automatically attached to the donation completed email. No more plain-text confirmations.

7 languages, built into Pro (Pro, beta)
Pro now ships with the same 7-language translation coverage as the free plugin.

Better than before

  • Works on WordPress 7.1, full compatibility confirmed.
  • Block inserter previews are clearer for SureDonation’s fields and campaign blocks.
  • Broader Abilities API coverage, giving developers and AI tools more of SureDonation to work with.

The Pro features above are in beta. Try them, and tell us what needs polishing before they go stable.

We think you’ll like this one. Update when you’re ready.

As always, support is one click away if anything feels off.

SureDonation v1.4.0 – Smoother setup, sturdier under the hood.

Hey everyone 👋

This release makes building and managing donation forms feel less like guesswork, and makes the payment layer underneath them quieter and more reliable. Nothing flashy, everything useful.

Let’s get into it.

 What’s new

See your form before you leave the editor The Donation Form block editor now shows a live preview of the selected form, so you can check how it looks without switching tabs or previewing the page separately.

Jump straight to the form editor Both the Donation Form block and the Elementor widget now include a quick link to open the form editor directly. No more hunting through menus to make a small edit.

Get setup guidance right on the form If a payment gateway isn’t fully configured, administrators now see clear guidance right on the donation form telling them what to fix, instead of finding out when a donor’s payment fails.

 Better than before

  • Anonymous donations are tracked and reported more accurately – The handling behind anonymous giving has been improved end to end.
  • Stripe and PayPal connections are more reliable – Connection and webhook handling have been strengthened, so payment status updates arrive more consistently.
  • Payment submissions are harder to tamper with – Validation and gateway endpoint security have been hardened against manipulated or fraudulent requests.

 Squashed

Donation notification emails now fire correctly. A logic issue was causing email notifications to behave inconsistently in certain cases. Fixed.

SureDonation 1.3.0: More Ways to Connect, Move, and Show Your Fundraising Data

Hey everyone 👋

SureDonation 1.3.0 is a feature-packed release. You can now connect multiple Stripe accounts and assign them per form, import and export your entire donation setup in one go, add an Image field directly to your forms, and control exactly where the currency sign sits. More flexibility, more control, and a cleaner experience for donors and admins alike.

✨ What’s new

Connect multiple Stripe accounts, one per form SureDonation now supports multiple Stripe accounts. Assign a different account to each form, so donations go exactly where they need. No mixing, no manual sorting.

What that means for you:

  • Run campaigns for separate organisations or causes without mixing funds
  • Assign a dedicated Stripe account to each client, project, or charity
  • Manage multi-account donation setups from one SureDonation installation
  • No more workarounds,  each form handles payments independently

Import and export donations, donors, campaigns, and settings Your entire SureDonation setup can now move with you. Export donations, donors, campaigns, and settings in one go, and import them just as easily on any site. Whether you’re migrating, backing up, or cloning a setup for a new project, everything travels together.

What that means for you:

  • Migrate your donation setup to a new site without rebuilding from scratch
  • Back up campaigns and donor records before a major site change
  • Duplicate a full donation setup across multiple sites for agencies or multi-site networks
  • Hand off a complete donation setup to a client, ready to go
Payments settings - SureDonation

Add images to your donation forms The donation form editor now includes an Image field. Add campaign visuals, charity logos, or cause imagery directly inside the form to give donors more context and emotional connection before they give.

What that means for you:

  • Show the cause, project, or campaign a donation supports right inside the form
  • Increase trust and conversion by giving donors a visual connection to their contribution
  • Works like any other field drag it in, upload your image, done
  • No need to rely on surrounding page content to tell the story

Control where the currency sign appears A new Currency Sign Position setting in General Settings lets you place the currency symbol before or after the amount. Useful for currencies and regions where the sign conventionally appears after the number. A small setting, but one that makes your forms feel locally correct to donors wherever they are in the world.

Stripe payment settings configured.

We think you’ll like this one. It’s a solid, well-rounded update, grab it when you’re ready and let us know what you think.

SureDonation 1.2.0: More ways to grow and share campaigns

Hey everyone 👋

This update makes SureDonation more flexible for fundraising teams using different builders, better for campaign sharing, and easier to connect with the tools they already use. It also includes a helpful onboarding fix so new campaigns are ready to use right away.

✨ What’s new

Automate donation activity with OttoKit

You can now trigger workflows when a donation is created, completed, or refunded. That means you can automatically send follow-ups, update records, or kick off internal tasks without doing it manually.

Help supporters share your campaigns

Supporters can now share campaigns using the new Campaign Social Sharing block. Shared campaign pages also include social preview meta tags, so links look cleaner and more trustworthy when posted on social platforms.

Build campaigns with Elementor and Bricks

If you use Elementor or Bricks, you can now add campaign and donation form widgets directly inside your page builder. This makes it easier to design fundraising pages without switching back and forth between tools.

Manage compliance settings from inside SureDonation

You now have built-in compliance settings to help handle important fundraising requirements more clearly from one place.

🔧 Fixes

New campaigns created during onboarding now go live properly

Campaigns created during onboarding are now published automatically, so the default donation form is generated right away and shows up in the Donation Form block.

That’s all for this update, see you in next releases.
